Planning
The Planning Division oversees various technical and administrative functions of the land use planning process. They work diligently to implement, as adopted by the City Council, the following critical documents:
- City's General Plan: The General Plan serves as our vision for future development, guiding the city's growth in a sustainable and thoughtful manner.
- Zoning Ordinance: They ensure that all development proposals comply with our zoning regulations, maintaining the character of our neighborhoods and commercial areas.
- Design Guidelines: They provide guidance on the aesthetic and architectural elements of new developments, helping create a cohesive and visually appealing cityscape.
- Development Applications: They review individual development applications for compliance with the Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Ordinance.
- Providing comprehensive information to the public regarding planning, zoning, and development permit requirements.
- Offering assistance to the City Council and Planning Commission during their evaluations of development applications.
