Parks & Cemetery Division
Midvale City has several municipal parks. Some have a specific activity focus (baseball, basketball, softball), while others, like the Midvale City Park and Fire Station Park, are designed for mixed-use. In addition, the City also hosts County recreational complexes, like Copperview Community Center and Union Park. The following is a list of Midvale City parks and their amenities:

Pavilion Rentals
The Large Pavilions at Midvale City Park and Bingham Junction are available to rent in the summer (June 1 through September 30). The City will accept reservation requests beginning May 1. Call 801-567-7232 or email events@midvale.com to reserve a pavilion. Smaller pavilions are available on a first-come-first-served basis.A Special Event Permit is required for an event that involves 50 or more people or involves fewer than 50 people and requires the use of city property in a way that does not comply with normal or usual use.
Bowery and Amphitheater (Stage) Rental
The Bowery at Midvale City Park is no longer available to rent. There are plans to tear down the Bowery to make room for parking. Instead, the new large pavilion (pictured ) is available to rent during the summer.

Jordan River Trail
The Jordan River Trail is a 45-mile, multiple-use trail paralleling the Jordan River as it flows north from Utah Lake to the Great Salt Lake through the Salt Lake Valley’s most populated communities. The trail system includes a paved trail, an equestrian trail, and several connecting neighborhood trails. Trail visitors can plan their trip to the Jordan River Parkway using the paperless digital trail guide at www.MyJordanRiver.org or email info@jordanrivercommission.com to request a map in the mail.
Canoeing and kayaking are fun and unique ways to experience the Jordan River. However, like any sport, there are risks involved, and it is the boater's responsibility to ensure their safety while enjoying this natural resource. Several natural and artificial hazards exist along the river, some of which have cost people their lives. Therefore, it is essential to scout out your route before paddling the river and know where and when to exit the river safely. Learn more about the Jordan River Water Trail here.
