Residential Curbside Pickup - MAP
Bulky Waste Pickup
The 2008 bulky waste pickup program will begin in April and run through October. Each area of the City is assigned one day each month for pickup. All residents will be receiving a flyer in their March utility bill with additional information and a map of scheduled pickup days.
The scheduled months for pickup are as follows:
April:
(A) Green Waste; Plus
(B) Bulky Waste
May, June, July, August, and September:
(A) Green Waste ONLY!
October:
(A) Green Waste; Plus
(B) Bulky Waste
Pickup items are defined as follows:
(A) Green Waste (Must be cut to 4 feet in length and under 95lbs)
- Tree limbs
- Wood products: 2 x 4's, particleboard, plywood, etc. (IMPORTANT: Large metal and concrete
must be removed)
(Does not include: grass clippings, weeds or non-woody plants. No bagged items will be accepted)
(B) Bulky Waste (items too big or bulky to fit in your garbage container)
- Furniture
- Household appliances
- Carpet
- Minor/small automobile parts
Requirements:

Place waste on the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. on scheduled pickup day. DO NOT place at curb longer than 72 hours prior to pickup.

Pile green waste together in 4 foot sections. Place other waste in another pile at least 2 feet away from green waste. In addition, do not park vehicles within 15 feet of either pile.

We do not accept: Rocks, concrete, gravel, dirt, sod or grass clippings. Any construction debris such as sheetrock, glass, roofing materials, tile, bricks, or fence posts with concrete. Vehicle parts, tires, or propane tanks. Oil, gas, batteries, paint, flammable, toxic or hazardous materials. Regular household waste (these items should be put in your garbage container)

Items containing freon (refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners) must be removed by a professional and be tagged with a copy of the receipt.

Snow blowers and lawn mowers must have the oil and gasoline removed.

55-gallon drums must be emptied and have the tops removed.

Loose material such as leaves, twigs, pine needles, and wood chips should be placed in trash bags or boxes and are consider bulky waste. These items may also be placed in your refuse container.

Recycling items that can be reused through a local charity.
