Jordan River Parkway
The Jordan River flows from Utah Lake to the Great Salt Lake and is approximately 44 miles in length. Several years ago, committees, organizations and municipalities recognized the natural beauty of the river's corridor and began to develop a multi-use trail following and sometimes crossing the river.
Midvale City completed construction of its portion of trail in 2001 connecting with West Jordan at 7800 South and running southeast to 700 West at approximately 8600 South. This portion is fairly flat and is great for walking, running, biking and blading without the worry of vehicle traffic. Rock benches and picnic tables are placed periodically along the trail to provide a place to sit and enjoy the scenery.
