2019 MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS OVERVIEW
General Municipal Elections are held in odd number years. The elective officers of Midvale City consist of a city council made up of five council members representing districts 1-5 and a mayor, who are elected in non-partisan election. The mayor and city council are elected to four-year overlapping terms.

Citizens desiring to run for office must file a “Declaration of Candidacy” with the City Recorder between June 3, 2019 and June 7, 2019 at Midvale City Hall, 7505 South Holden Street, Midvale, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Interested candidates must be a registered voter, resident of Midvale City for at least 12 months immediately prior to the date of the election; and resident of the district candidate is running for 60 days prior to the date of the election.

Declaration of Candidacy Filing Dates: June 3-7, 2019 by 5:00 p.m.
Primary Election Day: August 13, 2019
General Election Day: November 5, 2019
Swearing-In Ceremony: January 6, 2020
Vote by Mail
Midvale City's elections are "VOTE BY MAIL ONLY." However, if you would like to vote on a voting machine, they will be available at Midvale City Hall from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.on election day. Bring your ballot with you along with your valid identification to City Hall and the judges will assist you. For more information on "VOTE BY MAIL" please visit:
