Planning & Zoning Commission

The Midvale City Planning & Zoning Commission is made up of five members and two alternates. These members are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council. The Commission is comprised in a manner to provide a balanced geographic, professional, neighborhood and community interest representation of the community. Members are required to reside within Midvale City.

The Planning Commission is responsible to make recommendations on the General Plan, Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances, any amendments to these documents, and on subdivision applications. The Planning Commission approves or denies conditional use permit applications and performs other duties as more specifically described in the City's Development Ordinances and the Utah Codes.

 

Meetings

The Planning Commission holds regular meetings on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Meetings begin at 7 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall (655 West Center Street - west entrance). Workshop meetings may be held prior to the genral session. Planning Commission meetings are open to the public, including the workshop meetings. However, no comments are taken during the workshop meeting.
