Under the auspices of the Mayor and City Council, Genn Sacos organized the Arts Council and served as its chairman until he passed away in 1995. Since May 1997, Wade Walker has served as chairman of the Arts Council. In addition to the chairman, the Arts Council is comprised of several volunteer members who donate their time and resources to fulfilling the mission of the Arts Council. The mission of the Midvale City Arts Council is to promote the arts in Midvale by sponsoring quality entertainment and by providing opportunities for Midvale residents to participate in the arts where they might not otherwise have the chance. As part of this mission, we focus not only on the quality of the finished product but also on the process of getting to the finished product. We strive to provide quality experiences for everyone involved from beginning to end.
